Robin Leicht is a founding member of the Stringbeans Quartet. Music has been an important part of her life ever since childhood; some of her earliest memories include singing and dancing with her parents to The Beatles, the Hollies, Cat Stevens, the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and anything else that happened to be playing on the radio.

Robin took violin lessons through the Edmonton Public School Board Strings Program and went on to study piano and flute as well. She decided to focus on the violin while attending the University of Alberta. At some point, Robin picked up a viola and decided that she liked it, so that’s what she plays mostly these days. She loves being a ‘bean!
